2011 Audi S5 Cabriolet Review

2011 Audi S5 Cabriolet

In essence, the convertible version of the sedan S4, S5 offers buyers a good mix of performance, comfort and style.

S5 cabriolet looks a little further down the line in the Grand Tourer, rather than all-out sports and contrary to its V8 S5 coupe counterpart, the S5 uses Audi convertible soft 3.0-liter V6 compressor.

What about the cons?

In previous years, the S5 coupe would have gone against the BMW M3, Audi, but has revised its offer to provide a better comparison of apples apples. The S5 now lines against mid-level 335i, leaving the M3 for just RS5 Europe.

As the nature of high-level Audi S5 buyers of vehicles such as Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Volvo C70 convertible, and their shopping list - even if the labels do not offer the same level of performance.

Innovations?

For better or for worse, the S5 Cabriolet bit of a technological tour de force, requiring a degree to operate many functions of the car. While the third generation of the Audi MMI is probably the best iteration to date, it can still take your attention away from the road, which seems rather against the point in a car-based driver and S5 coupe.

However, the Audi 3.0-liter supercharged V6 will remain the same incredible that the first time will be shown two years ago, seven-speed automatic and the S5 is a huge step forward in the Audi DSG.

How?

A5 is undoubtedly the most beautiful car Audi's latest - and are very turned rows of drop-top version of the car - even if this debate is now obscured by A7.

The S5 is a little more glitz and glamor to put it out of the standard car, the S5 wins a silver mirror sports front, roof and side signature quad exhaust pipes Audi S.

Overall, the changes are relatively minor, and we love it. S5 does not scream boy racer, who still manages to feel more special than a regular BMW 335i convertible.

And inside?

Audi has long been known for its upscale interior and S5 Cabriolet is no exception. Audi has not skimped on the quality of equipment S5, and shape of the car and finish are exactly what you expect from a $ 60,000, most luxurious sports cars. But the S5 is equipped with a manual adjustment of the steering column, which seems kind of low brow at that price.

The S5 win a pair of front bucket seats unique sports, and found it to be well supported and comfortable enough for long trips. The rear seats are standard A5 S5-question, but our test model in red and black was added to the sportiness of the car.
